This statement necklace features a lovely reworked late 20th century pendant set with rhinestones and a lavender-toned quartz octagonal stone. I have matched it with repurposed hematite beads and pink freshwater pearls. These soft colours reminded me of the sky as twilight approaches.
The hematite beads came from two separate necklaces, so their magnetic properties vary slightly, as you can see with some of the small beads trying to move away from the others.
This necklace is:
- ethically and sustainably made
- one of a kind
- made with vintage and repurposed materials
- 46.5 cm in total length around the neck edge (refer to my necklace guide for more information) with the focal measuring 4.5 cm in length.
Sustainably made in my Melbourne workshop, this necklace contains vintage and repurposed materials. These hold some evidence of their former life in a deepened patina and minor wear; I think that is what gives them so much charm.
