I have made this one-of-a-kind asymmetrical necklace by combining the beads from a double stranded necklace made circa 1960s with two brooch fragments in the form of a butterfly and a spray of flowers as well as an orphaned floral earring. These elements combine to create a whimsical garden themed necklace with a soft honey coloured glow from the faceted beads that draw them together.
It measures 55 cm along the neck edge with a 4.5 cm extender chain so that it can be worn at different lengths to match your mood or your outfit.
Sustainably made by hand in Australia, this necklace contains vintage and repurposed materials which hold some evidence of their former life in a deepened patina and minor wear. I think that is what gives them so much charm.
