One of the strong trends in 1960s fashion was driven by medieval and renaissance influences. Faux cameos in resin or glass became very popular as a result. In this elegant necklace I've combined a romantically themed resin cameo in dark sienna and ivory with hand-knotted pearlised beads in a deep coffee colour. These beads were made around the 1960s and sourced from old warehouse stock.
This necklace is:
- ethically and sustainably made
- one of a kind
- made with a repurposed vintage cameo (5 cm diameter) and pearlised beads from the 1960s
- 48 cm along the neck edge (refer to my necklace guide for more information)
- finished with a hook clasp
Sustainably made in my Melbourne workshop, this necklace contains vintage and repurposed materials which show signs of their age in a deepened patina and minor wear. I think that is what gives them so much charm.
