This statement necklace in red and gold features two vintage brooch fragments which I combined to create a large focal piece. I have combined this with a repurposed vintage Lucite bead, vintage textured rope chain sourced from old warehouse stock and new Czech glass cathedral beads. This combination reminds me of the starburst shapes you see during a fireworks display, inspiring the name for this necklace.
This necklace is:
- ethically and sustainably made
- one of a kind
- made with vintage costume jewellery elements from the 1960s to 80s and new Czech glass beads
- 47.5cm along the neck edge (refer to my necklace guide for more information)
- finished with a hook clasp
Handmade in my Melbourne workshop, this necklace contains vintage repurposed materials which show signs of their age in a deepened patina and minor wear. I think that is what gives them so much charm.
