A vintage finding featuring a hand painted rose enamelled on a guilloché background and mounted in a brass setting has been mounted onto a small clip. This finding was made around the 1950s and was sourced from old warehouse stock. It is designed to be worn as a hair clip but could also be worn on the neckline of a dress or jacket.
It has been glued to a small filigree clip base in an antique bronze colour. The clip measures 3.5 cm in length and is 2.5 cm in diameter.
This delightful clip has been created in my Australian workshop using vintage and new materials. This vintage finding holds some evidence of its former life in a deepened patina and minor wear; I think that is what gives it so much charm.
