A beautiful pot metal rhinestone-set Art Deco buckle piece features in this sautoir styled necklace. The buckle was made by a member of the White Metal Casters Association (WMCA) in the USA during the 1930s. I suspended it from hand-knotted vintage Czechoslovakian glass beads that I sourced from old warehouse stock.
This necklace is:
- ethically and sustainably made
- one of a kind
- made with a 1930s buckle piece and Czech beads from the 1960 -80s
- 84cm along the length of the beads (refer to my necklace guide for more information), with the buckle 4 cm long x 2.5 cm at its widest point
Handmade in my Melbourne workshop, this necklace contains vintage and repurposed materials which show signs of their age in a deepened patina and minor wear. I think that is what gives them so much charm.
