I matched vintage rice-shaped pearl beads in a soft lemon colour from the late 1950s to 1960s sourced from old warehouse stock with an orphaned clip back earring to make this elegant necklace.
The drop-dead-gorgeous vintage earring from the 1950s-60s is articulated in three sections and with jonquil coloured and Aurora Borealis coated rhinestones, lemon painted metal leaves and a matched lemon pearl bead drop.
It measures approximately 50 cm around the neck edge and the drop measures 3.5 cm. It is finished with a hook clasp.
This necklace has been handmade using vintage materials which show some evidence of their age in minor wear and a deepened patina; I think that is what gives them so much charm.
Sustainably made in Australia.
