I made this necklace using a vintage brass and copper locket sourced from old warehouse stock. It is in an unfinished state as it was originally intended to be finished with gold or silver plating. I embellished it with a deep blue enamel and faux pearl clip-back earring in the romantic style made around the 1950s.
The chain is made with vintage materials including repurposed handmade glass beads in a deep royal blue, a scrolled stamping, bead caps, embossed connectors and brass textured chain.
This necklace measures approximately 47.5 cm around the neck edge and is finished with a simple hook clasp.
Sustainably made in Australia, this necklace contains vintage repurposed materials. These hold some evidence of their former life in a deepened patina and minor wear; I think that is what gives them so much charm.
