I've combined a number of vintage elements in this lovely necklace. A brass locket sourced from old warehouse stock has been finished with a metal ink in soft gold. I have embellished it with a vintage blue enamel, faux pearl and rhinestone clip-back earring.
I suspended this beautiful locket from a bead chain made with repurposed glass beads in a matching colour. The locket opens to provide a place to hold one or more special keepsakes.
This necklace is:
- ethically and sustainably made
- one of a kind
- made with repurposed from 1950s-60s costume jewellery and handmade glass beads
- 47 cm along the neck edge (refer to my necklace guide for more information)
- finished with a hook clasp
Sustainably made in my Melbourne workshop, this necklace contains vintage and repurposed materials which show signs of their age in a deepened patina and minor wear. I think that is what gives them so much charm.
