A fabulous 1960s heraldic themed pendant is the star of this statement necklace. It is shaped in the form of a shield, embossed with a Maltese cross on which a flower embossed bend (or diagonal) is placed.
I have combined it with vintage Czech glass beads in deep cobalt blue, two vintage bracelets made by Sarah Coventry and some new cable chain. The fold-over clasps on both bracelets are in working order, and provide the ability to open the necklace on both sides.
This necklace is:
- ethically and sustainably made
- one of a kind
- made with vintage costume jewellery from the 1960s-1980s including a shield shaped pendant measuring 6x7 cm and sterling silver wire
- 58 cm along the neck edge (refer to my necklace guide for more information)
- finished with fold-over clasps on each side front
Handmade in my Melbourne workshop, this necklace contains vintage repurposed materials which show signs of their age in a deepened patina and minor wear. I think that is what gives them so much charm.
