A fragment of a 1960s choker necklace was the starting point for this unique necklace. Set with peacock coloured rhinestones which reflect many colours from their Aurora Borealis coating, I have matched this fragment with lovely plum coloured pearl beads made circa 1960s which I sourced from old warehouse stock.
It measures 43.5 cm along the neck edge and is finished with a hook clasp.
Sustainably made by hand in Australia, this necklace contains vintage and repurposed materials which hold some evidence of their former life in a deepened patina and minor wear. I think that is what gives them so much charm.
