Did you know that a circle in jewellery designs is a symbol of enduring love? That inspired the name of this lovely necklace.
It features a vintage circle pendant originally made in Austria and set with rhinestones and painted metal flowers. It was much damaged when I found it, so I have restored it and then woven it into a necklace of vintage Czechoslovakian-made glass beads that I found in Prague a few years ago. These are very quirky in themselves because these glass beads were only half finished! They are faceted on one half and rounded on the other.
This necklace is:
- ethically and sustainably made
- one of a kind
- made with vintage costume jewellery elements from the 1950s to 80s
- 46cm along the neck edge (refer to my necklace guide for more information)
- finished with a hook clasp
Handmade in my Melbourne workshop, this necklace contains vintage repurposed materials which show signs of their age in a deepened patina and minor wear. I think that is what gives them so much charm.
