I made this elegant necklace from a broken dress clip made circa 1930s and lovely garnet coloured Czechoslovakian-made glass beads. These beads have been connected using a technique known as right angle weave to create a ribbon of deep red richness.
Measuring 46 cm along the neck edge it also has a 5 cm beaded extender chain to give you greater flexibility when wearing it.
This handmade necklace contains vintage and repurposed materials. These hold some evidence of their former life in a deepened patina and minor wear; I think that is what gives them so much charm.
