A vintage moulded celluloid daisy is at the centre of this small clip. This whimsical flower was made in post-war Japan circa 1950s - 60s, and was sourced from old warehouse stock. It is designed to be worn as a hair clip but could also be worn on the neckline of a dress or jacket.
Attached to a small filigree clip base in an antique bronze colour it measures 3.5 cm in length and 2.5 cm in diameter.
This clip contains vintage material which may hold some evidence of their former life in a deepened patina and minor wear; I think that is what gives them so much charm.
