Did you know...
That fashion in the early 1950s took on a particularly feminine look after years of war and rationing.
I created this necklace by matching a vintage clip back earring embellished with white plastic flowers with Japanese-made chalk white beads sourced from old warehouse stock. Small green glass leaf beads give this necklace a touch of freshness just like a garden in springtime.
This necklace is:
- ethically and sustainably made
- one of a kind
- made with an upcycled clip back earring circa 1950s, vintage Japanese beads circa 1950s and repurposed green glass leaf beads
- 45.5 cm along the neck edge (refer to my necklace guide for more information) with a small extender chain
- Finished with a hook clasp
Handmade in my Melbourne workshop, this necklace contains vintage repurposed materials which show signs of their age in a deepened patina and minor wear. I think that is what gives them so much charm.
