This elegant and versatile lariat necklace is so 1980s with it's oversized pearl bead and chunky gold toned chain. The ways to wear this asymmetrical piece are only limited by your imagination!
I created this necklace using a combination of repurposed vintage beads and chains. Lariats are thought to have originated in Spanish-speaking South America, so this necklace is named in Spanish for 'pearls and gold'.
The chain measures approximately 118 cm and the length of the large pearl bead tassel is 14 cm while the smaller tassel is 8 cm long.
Sustainably made in Australia, this necklace contains vintage repurposed materials. These hold some evidence of their former life in a deepened patina and minor wear; I think that is what gives them so much charm.
