I've created this bold necklace from a 1930s dress clip in the form of a bunch of grapes nestled under a textured vine leaf. It was badly damaged and I used some vintage beads and red glass stone to replace a missing section on the front. I've complimented it with a lovely vintage brass chain.
The clip is in full working order, so it can be detached from the chain to be used as intended and the chain worn separately.
- there is only one
- made with vintage dress clip c.1930s and chain c.1940-50s
- measures 48cm along the neck edge (refer to my necklace guide for more information)
- the clip itself measures 5 x 4.5 cm
- finished with a hook clasp
Handmade in my Melbourne workshop, this necklace contains vintage repurposed materials which show signs of their age in a deepened patina and wear. The photos indicate the type of wear that has been experienced by this interesting piece. I think that is what gives it so much charm.
